Lunar-sea (2021-current)

The genesis of this project began during covid times when I spent a couple of evenings over a full moon seeing how I could photograph it in a way which was new to me. As each full moon passed, I would find a new way of capturing it, either through deliberate actions, or by accident. Often each practice would start with an image in mind, but would take off in an entirely different direction depending on what was in front of me, yielding even more ideas for the next time. For the next 18 months I shot around every full moon that the weather allowed me to see (which was all but 2!) in an effort to link the moon and ocean over which it yields so much pull. The result is a catalogue of images taken from within or next to the ocean, spanning all seasons. I may be done with it, but then again, maybe not...
